Robert Ashley "Ash"
Robert Ashley Forster is the owner and operator of Robert Ashley Hair Design. Ashley or "Ash" as his friends and family call him, was trained in one of the top salons in the North East of England.
Immigrating to Canada in 1981, he started his career at The House of Lords and opened his own salon in 1987.
Robert Ashley Hair Design has been a stable fixture in the Hillcrest Village area of St. Clair West ever since.
While the current location is his fourth in the past few decades, what hasn't changed is his commitment to his trade and his clients, many of whom have been frequenting the business for years.
Nigel White - Stylist
Trained in England, Nigel has worked as a stylist in the UK, Australia and Canada. He joined Robert Ashley Hair design in 1994 and returned in 2004 after a six year hiatus to Australia and the United Kingdom. Nigel is known to his clients for his artistic flair. His talents recently landed him the opportunity to work in the film and television industry. Between this work and the salon he is busier than ever.
Jackie Sereda - Stylist
Jackie is a longstanding stylist with Robert Ashley Hair Design having started her career while attending trade school. After graduating in 2007 she was thrilled to accept a full-time position. Her clients, many of whom have been with her since she started with the business, were even more excited. Jackie does both men and women's cuts as well as colour, highlights and styling.
Dawn Watson - Stylist
Dawn has been with Robert Ashley Hair Design in a range of roles for 25 years. She joined the business part-time to assist stylists and in particular Ashley. With his encouragement she attended the hair stylist program at George Brown College, graduating in 1995. Dawn is an experience all round stylist.
Saida Spence - Stylist
Saida is the latest addition to our stylist team. She has training and experience in both hair styling and makeup artistry. Saida has honed her skills over many years, working in well known salons in downtown Toronto, as well as on photo shoots, runways and the theatre. The precision and creativity of her cuts, styling, colouring (including balayage), and up-dos speak volumes to her talent.
